DEPARTMENT HISTORY
Department of Hawaii traces it's beginning back to the beginning of The American Legion in 1919.
In the American Legion, Departments represent states in the United states and some territories and foreign departments; 55 in total including District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, France, Mexico and Philippines.
The Department of Hawaii is a member of FODPAL (Foreign and Outlying Departments and Posts of the American Legion)

Department of Hawaii has hosted National Conventions in the past.
American Legion Baseball has had several teams from Hawaii, even winning the American Legion World Series (ALWS)!
